TORN

One of a kind garments and storytelling collections designed by Finnish designer Iina Torhola.

The TORN collections are focused on telling their stories through wearable textile art, bringing the subject of the collection closer to the viewer by linking the phenomena physically to the human form. These works are inspired by our society and environment, curiosities of the human mind and the nature of life.

TORN combines the traditional garment making to the various ways of creating. In these projects the medium follows the vision and great joy is found in the new materials and techniques to experiment with in order to give life to the stories embedded into the TORN collections. While working I always keep in mind the environment around us and aim to create the collections in a sustainable way.

With these creations I hope to awaken feelings and conversation about the themes at hand. I believe that thoughtfulness, conversation and action will lead to a better future.
